Romanian company buys 140 bikes for its employees

A Romanian company has bought 140 bicycles for its employes to use. Elis Pavaje, a producers of paving and brim products, invested in 140 bicycles, allowing its employees to commute to and from work using this already very popular means of transport in Romania.

The measure already yielded results, as many of the company's employees gave up their work car or the public means of transport they had been using before the move, according to the company.

Elis Pavaje had a turnover of some EUR 22 million in 2012, and hopes for a 10 percent growth this year. It runs two factories, one in Alba county, and one in Prahova county. The producer is controlled by Romanian entrepreneurs Emil Elisiu Gota and Vasile Gota.
