Romanian company launches tablet PC in February. See retail price

Romanian company Televoice, which owns the Evolio brand, will launch in February this year a PC tablet called EvoTab, running on the Android operating system, the company has announced. The tablet can be pre-ordered form the producer's website . It will become available in retail chains from February 15, at a price of RON 750 (around EUR 176).

Evolio targets a 15 percent market share on the tablet PCs' market in Romania, which is estimated to reach 50,000 units in 2011, according to Liviu Nistoran, president of Evolio.

The EvoTab TB1 has a 7-inch touch screen, 360 grams, Wi-Fi and 3G possibilities. The battery holds for 14 hours. Its 4 GB internal memory can be expanded up to 36GB with a micro SD card.

Televoice has recently launched Evobook, a Romanian e-reader which sells for EUR 150. The electronic reader, which runs on an e-ink technology, includes 120 books in Romanian and around 20 in English and French at first and will allow readers to keep up to 4,000 books on its 2GB internal memory.
