Romanian Constitutional Court judge brought in for questioning in corruption case
Romanian Constitutional Court judge Toni Grebla was brought in for questioning to the National Anticorruption Directorate DNA on Thursday, January 22. He is investigated for influence peddling.
He allegedly received campaign materials for the 2012 campaign, as well as a BMW car and dresses for his wife from his godson, businessman Ion Bircina, reports local Mediafax. In return, he allegedly used his influence in support of Bircina’s companies.
Ion Bircina is also to be brought in for questioning at DNA, being accused of buying influence, according to judicial sources cited by Mediafax.
Toni Grebla has been a judge of the Romanian Constitutional Court since 2013.
