The Competition Council will launch the online platform that allows consumers to compare prices of different retailers by the end of June.

It will be a pilot project and will be launched only in Bucharest in the beginning, reports local Profit.ro.

The platform should have been operational since last year, but its launch has been delayed. The Competition Council will monitor the platform that will be later extended to other cities.

The Council has drafted a list with several categories of products that are representative for the weekly consumer basket, which will be included in this price comparison platform.
