Romanian costume designer works on new American series based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island
A Romanian has designed the costumes for the first season of new American series Black Sails.
Romanian Marina Drăghici was in charge of costume design for the eight episodes in the first season of the series which is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.
Black Sails follows the adventures of captain Flint, together with the young Long John Silver.
This is not Draghici's first collaboration for an international series. The costume designer also worked for Homeland, Dexter and Elementary series, and for the feature films Precious and Rage.
She is best known abroad for her collaboration with Romanian director Andrei Serban for the play Richard the 3rd at the La MaMa theater in New York.
Draghici also worked for the National Opera in Paris. In 2009, she got the Lortel prize for the musical Fela.
