Romanian Dacia ups European sales by 7% in January
The sales of local car brand Dacia in Europe increased by 7.4% year-on-year in January this year. They went up from 28,634 cars in January 2014, to 30,742 units last month.
Dacia’s market share remained at 3%, according to the European Automobile Manufacturer's Association (ACEA).
Dacia sold almost 360,000 cars in Europe, in 2014, up 23.9% over 2013.
The sales of the Renault group increased by 10.1% last month, to 96,852 units, whereas the sales of the German car brands Volkswagen and Daimler grew by 6.6%, respectively 14.8%.
The car brands Ford and Toyota also sold more cars, up by 5.4%, and 8.5%.
