Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman ups sales above initial estimations in 2013
Romanian Do-it-Yourself retailer Dedeman reported sales of over EUR 600 million in 2013, up 12 percent year-on-year, exceeding the initial growth estimations of 8 percent, reports local Wall-street.ro.
In 2012, the company registered sales of some EUR 540 million.
“The online store is already active across Romania. In a not too long period, we hope online sales to represent significant percentages of our turnover. For 2014, we estimate sales of around EUR 4 million,” Dragos Paval, president and CEO of Dedeman told Wall-street.ro.
Dedeman, owned by Romanians Adrian and Dragos Paval, owns 37 stores in Romania and employs some 6,700 people.
