Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman ups turnover by 26%
DIY retailer Dedeman, the largest entrepreneurial business in Romania, recorded a turnover of EUR 500 million in the first half of the year, up 26% year-on-year.
It is the highest advance reported by a company with retail activities in a period when consumption growth is reminiscent of 2007-2008, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
If the company maintains the same growth pace in the second half of the year, the turnover will amount to EUR 1.2 billion this year.
Last year, the retailer’s turnover rose by 25% year-on-year to EUR 980 million. The company has estimated revenues of EUR 1.01 billion for this year. It would become the first company controlled by local investors to pass the EUR 1 billion sales threshold.
