Romanian Duraziv sells with a third more paint in first four months
Romanian building materials producer Duraziv, owned by Romanian entrepreneur Daniel Guzu, sold with 21 percent more adhesives between January-April, compared to the same period in 2013, while the paints division recorded an increase of 35 percent.
“The evolution was triggered by strengthening relationships with partners, increasing the brand’s notoriety and the customers’ focus on color when decorating,” reads a statement of the company.
“The adhesives division currently generates about a third of total revenues, while the paints division is in a sustained growth,” said Marga Carp, marketing manager at Duraziv.
In the first four months, the sales of paints and decorative plasters increased the share to 19 percent, while adhesives had a share of 35 percent, and metal profiles - 43 percent.
In April, all three divisions generated similar sales; the only decreasing trend was recorded for metal profiles.
Duraziv is active on the construction market since 2003, when it was established under the initial name of Bau Profil. The company’s adhesives division was opened after a EUR 8.5 million investment in a factory located in the Romanian city of Popesti Leordeni. The total production capacity of the factory amounts to 200,000 tonnes per year.
In 2013, the company had a turnover of some EUR 17 million.
