Romanian engineer takes his invention to Geneva Exhibition
Romanian inventor Corneliu Birtok Baneasa will present a device that reduces pollutants and fuel consumption at this year’s Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, reports local Agerpres.
The event started on April 13 and will end on April 17, and Romania will present 30 inventions at the event.
Corneliu Birtok Baneasa’s device, called “thermal deflector,” is destined for equipping vehicles during the summer, when the engines lose some their power due to the high temperatures outside.
The “thermal deflector” was first tested in practice in 2010 when it was implemented on cars and buses belonging to a public transport company in Alba Iulia.
The Romanian inventor has won several awards for his inventions in recent years. For example, last year he won a gold medal and the special prize of Thailand’s delegation at the Brussels Innova with this device. Moreover, in April last year, he got the gold medal at the Geneva Exhibition for a device that helps drivers fill their cars with windshield fluid.
The 2016 Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions hosts 695 exhibitors from 40 countries. An international Jury of 85 experts will award the prizes to the best inventions.
