Romanian FAN Courier invests EUR 8.5 mln in expanding warehouse
FAN Courier, the biggest courier firm on the local market, will invest EUR 8.5 million in expanding its current warehouse in Stefanestii de Jos, north of Bucharest.
The work will be completed next year, said Adrian Mihai, one of Fan Courier’s three shareholders, reports local Profit.ro.
The company acquired a new 60,000 sqm plot in Stefanesti de Jos. Following the expansion, the FAN Courier warehouse will exceed 100,000 sqm. The storage capacity will cover 22,000 sqm.
The investments in the new warehouse will be of almost EUR 7 million whereas EUR 1.5 million was the land’s price. The construction will take about a year due to the high number of permits the company needs to get.
“The continued growth of the market in recent years and the estimates indicating the advance of the e-commerce market are the main reasons why we decided to build a new warehouse,” said Mihai.
The shareholders also plan to open a new warehouse in the country, but haven’t made any decision yet.
FAN Courier is a company with Romanian capital, founded in 1998 by Adrian Mihai, Neculai Mihai, and Felix Patrascanu.
