Romanian Financial Police close down downtown Bucharest club and restaurants
The Romanian Financial Police, after several inspections made at the end of the last week, discovered irregularities at the La Muse Club in Bucharest's Old Town, and four other places from the Drumul Taberei neighborhood, and closed them all down.Restaurant Casa Rustic was fined with some RON 3,000 - or EUR 660.
Fraud Squad officers, along with inspectors from ANAF found financial misconduct and violation of mandatory use of electronic cash registers or legal requirements on the record of sales at the six establishments and ordered them to suspend business for three months.
The inspectors checked 16 restaurants in Bucharest, three nightclubs in the Old Center and 13 other restaurants in the Drumul Taberei neighborhood. Following the controls, they gave 38 fines and confiscated RON 84,600 (EUR 19,140 ) in unregistered cash.
In the meantime, investigators in Cluj, Constanta, Iasi and Timis checked 22 nightclubs, gave total fines worth RON 64,900 (EUR 15,000 ) and seized RON 17,165 (EUR 3,870 ) in cash. Also, commissioners suspended business for three months at six of the premises inspected.
