The state guarantee ceiling for the First House (Prima Casa) mortgage lending program was set at RON 2.5 billion (EUR 556.35 million) for this year, while the unused amount from the last year's ceiling was reallocated, according to a decision of the Government, cited by local Economica.net.

The National Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) granted about 126,200 guarantees until last fall, for contracts worth about EUR 4.8 billion, concluded between 2009-2014.

The number of guarantees issued under the program in the first nine months of last year was about 20,500, for financings worth about EUR 736 million. The Government then supplemented with EUR 89.1 million the available ceiling until December 31, 2014.
