Romanian flour and pasta maker Pambac gets EUR 9 mln loan to fuel expansion
Romanian milling, baking and pasta producer Pambac recently took a EUR 9 million loan from local lender Banca Transilvania to support its current investments in the shops network and in its production lines. Pambac owns a chain of stores under this brand in its hometown Bacau. The producer, which owns the brands Pambac, Grania, Gata, Flavora, K7, Ador, Puufuulet and Megafort, is likely to expand its chain of stores.
Banca Transilvania reported loans of EUR 4 billion end – June this year, mostly loans granted in RON, and out of which 65 percent were granted to companies.
Pambac was recently taken over from its members of the board, which were also shareholders, by two entrepreneurs based in Bacau, Cătălin Grigoriu and Eusebiu Guţu. Pambac had a EUR 38 million turnover last year and is one of the largest producers in Romania on its segment.
