Romanian footballer transfers to German Bundesliga team Stuttgart
Romanian midfielder Alexandru Maxim (in picture) is on his way to play in German football's top flight, the Bundesliga. The 22-year old Maxim joins VfB Stuttgart from first division Romanian club Pandurii Târgu Jiu. He won international caps playing for Romania last year and has signed a contract with VfB Stuttgart valid until 2017, according to the Bundesliga official website. No details of the value of the transfer have been released.
“In Alexandru Maxim, we've signed a technically adept player who can be deployed in a variety of positions. He made the step up to the Romanian national team with his last club and we reckon he has the potential to develop a lot further still,” said VfB sporting director Fredi Bobic, quoted by bundesliga.com.
