Romanian footwear producer Denis wants EUR 1 mln revenues from recent online shop Why Denis, including sales abroad
Romanian footwear producer and retailer Denis recently opened an online shop and hopes to sell EUR 1 million worth of shoes via the new online store in the first year of activity. The Romanian producer wants to send over 3,000 pairs of shoes via the online shop, most of which for women, as 70 percent of the shoes on sale are women’s shoes.
Products are sold for the same prices as the shoes in Denis’ shops, and deliveries can be done in Romania, as well as abroad, according to Ana Cornea, manager and shareholder of the Why Denis retailer.
Why Denis is one of the three brands of Suceava-based footwear producer and retailer Denis. The company runs 35 stores under the brands Denis, Why Denis and All Shoes, all covering a different price range and market niche. Three of these shops are located abroad, in Ukraine, and the rest, across Romania.
The retailer aims for a EUR 10 million turnover this year, and ten extra shops.
The Denis brand was founded in 1994, when it produced only men’s footwear. In 2000, it opened the first shop in the Northern Romanian city of Suceava. The company plans further international expansion, first aiming at the Eastern part of Europe – Russia, Kazakhstan and then the US.
