Romanian furniture maker Lemet invests EUR 0.7 mln in two new stores
Lemet, one of the largest furniture makers and retailers in Romania, opened two new Lem’s stores in March after a total investment of over RON 3 million (EUR 686,000).
Following the two openings, the network increased the showroom space by 3,500 sqm, to over 66,000 sqm.
The new store in Miercurea Ciuc covers an area of 1,500 sqm and required an investment of RON 1.35 million (EUR 304,000).
The second store is in Focsani and is the company’s largest investment in Moldova region. Lemet invested RON 1.7 million (EUR 382,000) in this unit that stretches over 2,100 sqm.
The company also launched a new furniture collection for lobbies, branded Domino.
Lemet sells its products through the Lem’s network of stores which currently covers a total of 66,000 sqm. The company employs over 1,300 people who work in the shops and the company's factory in Brebu, Prahova county.
Lemet's owner is Romanian entrepreneur Alexandru Rizea. The company's sales increased by 10% last year, to over EUR 57 million.
