Romanian game wins second place at competition in London

Romanian puzzle game Link Twin won the second place at the Very Big Indie Pitch, a competition organized within the Pocket Gamer Connects London, the biggest mobile games business conference in Europe, which took place on January 16-17.

A total of 37 games registered for this year’s The Very Big Indie Pitch competition. The Mona Lisa game won the first place while Starbeard ended the competition on the third place.

Over five chapters and 100 levels, Link Twin explores the unexplained connection between two mysterious characters, twins Tom and Lily.

"Take control of the mysterious Tom and Lily who share an unbreakable connection.
Guide them through a treacherous world of mysterious landscapes and mind-bending puzzles," reads the game's presentation.

Link Twin was launched exclusively on Samsung phones in 2016, through the Games For Samsung program and is now also available in the Apple App Store in some countries. In mid-February this year, the game will be released globally for Android and iOS.

The game has been produced by Lorraine Studio and published by Carbon, two Romanian start-ups launched in 2015 by Amber Studios, one of the biggest mobile games producer in Romania. Amber Studios was launched in 2013 and reached a turnover of over EUR 4.4 million in 2015.

The Very Big Indie Pitch is a developer pitching competition open to all types of independent developers of mobile, wearables, or handheld games, wherever they are based.
