Romanian gas producer Romgaz proposes gross dividend of RON 2.57 (EUR 0.57) per share for the year ended December 31, 2013, according to a company’s statement.

The company plans to pay dividends worth a total of RON 990 million (EUR 221.9 million) from the 2013 profit. Romgaz will start distributing the dividends on July 28, 2014.

The proposal is to be discussed during a shareholders meeting scheduled for April 28.

According to the company’s preliminary results, Romgaz ended 2013 with a net profit of RON 930 million (EUR 210 million), lower than the value of the proposed dividends.

The company’s turnover increased to RON 3.89 billion (some EUR 882 million) last year, up 1.5 percent year-on-year.
