Romanian Government allots EUR 79 mln ceiling for “First Car” program
The Government will assign in 2015 a RON 350 million (EUR 79 million) limit for the guarantees that may be issued for the “First Car” program.
The banks and the non-financial institutions that haven’t applied yet can submit their applications by March 2, according to a draft resolution, cited by local Mediafax.
Last year the Government established a RON 50 million (EUR 11.2 million) ceiling for the year after it had launched this program in November 2014.
The IMF representatives have asked Romania to drop the “First Car” program in the recent negotiations, but local authorities declined.
