The Romanian government recently approved the creation of the Department of Privatization and Management of State Ownership, through which the Ministry of Finance will coordinate the privatization and monitoring of state-owned companies.

This entity will be the only state body responsible for privatizations.

The government announced the approval of the emergency ordinance through which this department is established at the end of the meeting held yesterday (April 23).
