Romanian Government signs contracts worth EUR 140 mln for IT projects
The Romanian Government will sign 52 contracts for IT projects with a total value of over EUR 141 million. Some of the beneficiaries will be county councils, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, the National Integrity Agency ANI and the Romanian Intelligence Service SRI.
The money comes from European funds and are distributed in three categories.
The county councils will have 44 projects with a total value of EUR 63.9 million. The program’s objective is to purchase or update/upgrade the information system destined to manage the electronic format of the Agricultural Register, according to local news agency Mediafax.
In the second category, namely the e-government program, five projects will receive total funds of EUR 45.1 million. The beneficiaries are the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Romanian Office for Adoptions, Labor Inspection and the National Centre for Management of Information Society.
A total funding of EUR 32.8 million will be provided for the third category, namely interoperability, while the beneficiaries are the National Integrity Agency, General Secretariat of the Government and the Romanian Intelligence Service, through the 0929 Military Unit, Bucharest.
