Romanian Government to borrow EUR 815 mln in October

Romania’s Finance Ministry plans to borrow about EUR 815 million in October via sales of 6 and 12-month treasury certificates and via state bond issues with 3-year, 5-year and 10-year maturities, according to an official announcement.

In September, the Finance Ministry only borrowed some EUR 490 million, less than what it had planned, according to Mediafax newswire.

In the first nine months of this year, the state borrowed more than EUR 10 billion via bond issues on the local market and international markets. Most issues were on the local market, in local currency.
