Groupama Asigurari, the local subsidiary of French group Groupama, underwrote gross premiums of EUR 180.2 million last year, up by 13% compared to 2014. The company’s profit reached EUR 5.1 million.

The insurer plans to increase its turnover by 5% this year and estimates a EUR 6 million profit.

Groupama wants to strengthen its position on the optional car insurance segment (CASCO), home & property insurance, as well as personal insurance.

The company ranks first on the agriculture segment. In the business segment, the non-life insurance segment had a contribution of almost EUR 170 million, up by 14% year-on-year.
