Romanian Health Minister: State to build three regional hospitals
Romania’s Health Ministry plans to start building three regional hospitals in Iasi, Craiova and Cluj, and some radiotherapy units, said Health Minister Nicolae Banicioiu.
It would be the first time when the state builds regional hospitals after 1989.
The Ministry also aims to reduce drug price.
The Government will introduce the medical personnel revenue law, Banicioiu also said, cited by local Mediafax. This will allow doctors to use the public hospitals’ infrastructure, by paying fees.
Meanwhile, starting May 1, the health card will become operational, allowing the state to control health funds, reduce fraud and offering direct benefits for patients.
