Romanian healthcare group MedLife opens EUR 2 mln clinic in Constanta
Private healthcare operator MedLife recently opened a new clinic in Constanta, after investments of EUR 2 million. It covers 1,300 sqm and includes 26 medical rooms, including a dermatology unit under its DermaLife brand, Medlife announced on November 12.
“Constanta is one of the strategic cities for our expansion and development plan, which is also reflected by the investment we have made here so far,” said Mihai Marcu, president of the board and shareholder of MedLife.
The company got a financing from local lender BCR for its investment in Constanta.
MedLife also opened clinics in Galati and Iasi this year, and plans four new openings next year. MedLife runs 13 clinics in Bucharest, Timisoara, Brasov, Arad, Galati, Iasi and Constanta, 8 labs, 6 hospitals in Bucharest, Brasov and Arad, and 3 maternities, among others.
Medlife is currently the largest private healthcare network in Romania by revenues. The company had a turnover of EUR 38.3 million in the first six months, up by 12% compared to the same period of 2013.
