Romanian healthcare operator MedLife buys 90% stake in local medical center
Romanian private healthcare operator MedLife bought a 90% stake in local Panduri Medical Centre, which owns two laboratories and two clinics in Bucharest.
The company also wants to take another EUR 20 million loan for new acquisitions. It is currently in advanced talks to carry out five transactions.
The Panduri Medical Center posted a turnover of over EUR 1.9 million last year. It expects a 20% increase in its business this year. Maria Pop, who founded the center, will keep the management attributions. She will be responsible for the center’s development strategy.
MedLife saw a turnover of EUR 58.72 million in the first six months of the year, up 32.7% over the same period in 2015. The healthcare operator estimates a turnover of EUR 120 million for this year.
