Altex, one of the largest IT&C retailers in Romania, recently opened a new store in Targu Jiu, in Gorj county, following an investment of EUR 400,000, reports local Wall-street.ro. With this new opening, the retailer runs a network of 90 stores across Romania.

The new showroom is located in Shopping City Targu Jiu commercial center and employs a team of 20. The company expects the new store to generate average monthly sales of EUR 250,000.

Altex ended 2013 with a turnover of over EUR 250 million, up 15% year-on-year.
