A total of 100 tourist information centers will be inaugurated by the end of this year in Romania, Florin Jianu, Minister Delegate for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism, said while at the opening of the National Tourism Fair in Bucharest.

“Statistics show that in 2014, up until now, Romania registers a year-on-year growth of 11% in the number of foreign tourists. In order to support this increase, we will open 100 tourist information centers by the end of the year. We’ll hand over 10 contracts today,” said Jianu, cited by local Dailybusiness.ro.

The first ten cities that signed financing contracts for such centers are Targul Jiu, Horezu, Caracal, Zarnesti, Targoviste, Zalau, Orsova, Seini, Sangiorgiu de Padure and Breaza.
