Romanian movie 'Everybody in our family' awarded 'Heart of Sarajevo'
The feature length movie 'Everybody in our family', directed by Romanian Radu Jude, received the big prize at the Sarajevo film festival which ended on July 14. The film got the 'Heart of Sarajevo' award and some EUR 16,000, granted by the Council of Europe.
The movie premiered at the Berlin Film festival earlier this year. This is Jude's second feature length film, after 'The happiest girl in the world', which received the CICAE prize at the Berlinale in 2009. More about the film here.
Another prize at the Sarajevo film festival went to Ivana Mladenovic for the documentary 'Turn off the lights', based on a script written by Mladenovic and Bianca Oana.
The short – length movie 'My father is the greatest' (Tatal meu e cel mai tare), by Radu Potcoavă, received a special jury award in Sarajevo, while the project 'Totonel' by Alexander Nanau received the special jury mention in the section “Work in progress'.
