Romanian movies to be screened at Cottbus Film Festival in Germany
Four Romanian films will be screened at the 25th edition of Cottbus Film Festival, an event that gathers filmmakers and actors from Central and Eastern Europe.
Radu Muntean’s Un Etaj Mai Jos/One Floor Below and Nicolae Constantin Tanase’s Lumea E A Mea/The World Is Mine were selected in the festival’s Spectrum section, which invites the public to discover the new trends in cinema, reports local Mediafax.
Also, Muntele Magic/The Magic Mountain directed by Anca Damian is part of the Specials section, which comprises previews, tribute films, and features that participated in other festivals.
Insula/The Island by Ozana Nicolau will be screened within the Short Feature Competition.
The Cottbus Film Festival was first held in 1991 in the immediate post-reunification era and is regarded as the most important festival of Eastern European cinema.
