Romanian music: Les Elephants Bizzares and The Mono Jacks

Continuing the Romanian music series started over the summer, Romania-insider.com has discovered two new Romanian bands you might want to check out. They are part of a new generation of young local artists who come up with songs and sounds of foreign inspiration– and yes, their songs are mostly in English (so far).

Les Elephants Bizzares (in picture) plays a combination of indie, pop, disco, punk and funk. The band is made of Stefan - the lead vocals, Mihai – bass and backing vocals, Catalin(aka Proka), who plays the guitar and also backing vocals, Nae on the synth and Claudiu who plays the drums.

The band has been playing across Romania since 2009 and also attended a festival in Serbia.
