Romanian online retailer eMag.ro has entered the Do-It-Yourself segment. The offer includes pressure washing machines, drills, saws, grinders, polishers, compressors, inverters, flashlights, and car vacuum cleaners.

In May this year, eMag.ro also started selling books, in partnership with distributor Libris, the new category being available on the Marketplace platform. The offer includes over 20,000 book titles from all areas, from over 500 publishers. Besides books, eMag also sells toys on the Marketplace platform, through another partnership.

Along with Asesoft Distribution and Flanco, eMag is part of the group of companies controlled by businessman Iulian Stanciu. In 2010 the company, which is the biggest online shop in Romania, posted a turnover of EUR 102 million, up 60 percent from 2009.
