Biggest Romanian online retailer appoints new general manager
Tudor Manea is the new general manager of biggest Romanian online retailer eMAG for the company’s operations in Romania.
Manea, 31, replaces Violeta Luca, who became head of business strategy for the local subsidiary of Microsoft. He will coordinate the acquisition and sale activities, the marketplace platform, the logistics, showrooms, as well as the relationships with customers.
Manea is also the company’s vice-president and reports directly to Iulian Stanciu. He entered the company in 2005 as its 23rd employee, starting off as programmer, and went through all departments.
eMAG, which also has operations in Bulgaria and Hungary, targets a EUR 500 million turnover this year, up from almost EUR 300 million in 2014.
