Romanian online retailer opens new programming center

30 October 2014

Romanian online retailer eMag will open in November a new programming center in Iasi, for which it will recruit 40 programmers in the first year of activity.

“This second programming center opened in the country, after the one in Craiova, is a natural consequence of the organic development in the past few years. The hub in Iasi will open in a few days with a team of four programmers, in a space of 400 sqm,“ said Tudor Manea, vice-president and HR & Technology director at eMag.

The company plans to open other programming centers and to also establish partnerships with universities in Bucharest and across the country. eMag has exceeded 1,000 employees this year and recruitment will continue both in Bucharest and Iasi.
