Online shoe retailer OtterShop.ro sold EUR 140,000 worth of footwear in less than a year and hopes to reach sales of EUR 200,000 in 2012 and stay among the most profitable shops for Otter, according to Carmen Grigore, Managing Partner Delazero, the company which created the site for Otter Distribution. The website required an investment of EUR 100,000 and joins Otter Distribution's stores across Romania.

In the future, we expect at least a similar evolution and more openness from Romanian customers to online shopping,” said Filip Schwartz, majority shareholder and administrator of Otter Distribution.

The company distributes footwear under brands such as Geox, Clarks and Epica de Mazzio.

Delazero, with a turnover of EUR 200,000 in 2011, has four projects, three online mono-brand shops and a multi-brand fashion shop. OterShop.ro is its latest online project.
