Romanian Parliament endorses Romeo Ionut Comaniciu as President of Insurance Supervisory Commission
The Romanian Parliament’s budget and finance committees has recently endorsed Romeo Ionut Comaniciu, director of insurer Astra Asigurari's subsidiary in Brasov, as President of the Insurance Supervisory Comission (CSA) with 21 votes for, 12 votes against, and one abstention. Romeo Ionut Comaniciu was nominated for the CSA President seat by the Romanian Democratic Liberal Party (PDL).
The new CSA president will replace Angela Toncescu, whose term expired mid-2011, when the mandate of three other CSA members expired, namely Tudor Balta who was Vice President, Constantin Buzoianu who also held the position of Vice President, and Corneliu Moldovan.
PDL’s initial candidate for this position, Cristian Constantinescu, was not endorsed by the budget and finance committees, after a vote held Monday.
Romeo Ionut Comaniciu, 35, owns 25 percent stake in Amouliani company and is the owner of Anro Consulting SRL.
