Romanian Parliament’s Labor Committee increases value of food vouchers
The value of food vouchers granted to employees in Romania can go up from RON 9 (EUR 2) to RON 15 (EUR 3.3).
The MPs in the Parliament’s Labor Commission adopted yesterday a bill that allows the increase in the food voucher’s value.
The project will reach the Parliament plenary next week, said the commission president Adrian Solomon, reports local Mediafax. The employers will decide whether to keep or increase the food vouchers’ value.
The Government has opposed the initiative, as its budget impact amounts to some RON 300 million (EUR 67.4 million).
