Romanian PM: Cooperation between Romania and Turkey is very high
The cooperation between Romania and Turkey is at a very high level, being based on trust, mutual support and common interests and values, Romanian prime minister Viorica Dancila said after her meeting with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, October 15.
The two countries cooperate in the security and defense area as well as in the business, university and cultural sectors, Dancila added. She mentioned the growing trade between Romania and Turkey, which last year reached EUR 5.1 billion.
“There is still immense potential that needs to be exploited,” she added.
Romania and Turkey celebrate this year 140 years of diplomatic relations and, starting 2011, the two countries have had a strategic partnership.
Dancila will continue her tour in the Middle East, where she will visit the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
