A group of seven Romanians were arrested and searches were conducted in the homes of others in Drobeta Turnu Severin, in south – west Romania, where they hid goods stolen from homes and companies in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The financial damage caused by this robbery network exceeded EUR 1 million between 2008 and 2012.

The group was made up of 16 people. Apart from the seven arrested in Romania, five were also arrested in Austria, two in Switzerland and two in Italy. Police are trying to recover some of the stolen goods, such as jewelry, expensive watches, money and electronic products.
