The Romanian Police has annihilated the local hacker group Anonymous, that had illegally accessed 29 websites of public institutions. The Police raided the house of 12 people in Bucharest, Iaşi, Alba Iulia, Piatra Neamţ, Cluj Napoca, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Arad, Craiova, Reşiţa and Târgu Mureş.

The group was 14 strong. The head of the group was the 24-year old Gabriel Bălăneasa from Piatra Neamt, who, together with Fábián Gábor and Picoş Mihai Emil, created the Anonymous group. The group accessed and compromised 29 websites in Romania and abroad.
