The official website of the Romanian Police (www.politiaromana.ro) was hacked last night by members of the Anonymous Romania hacker’s organization. The website was down on Friday, September 19.

“Greetings from the <<ciumpalaci>>! We salute you sirs. We are the Legion. We are the Romanian People. Romania, wake up!” said the message posted by hackers on the site, according to Digi 24 news station.

Several state institutions in Romania, including ministries, have been the target of large scale informatics attacks in recent years, according to Romania’s Information Service (SRI).
