Romanian selected in the Producers on the Move program at Cannes Film Festival
Romanian Anamaria Antoci, the producer of Ilegitim/Illegitimate, is one of the 20 European producers selected to take part in the European Film Promotion EFP’s networking platform Producers on the Move at the Cannes Film Festival.
The four-day program, now at its 17th edition, will take place between May 14 and May 17. Its aim is to assist European producers in finding partners for their upcoming projects, to strengthen industry networking opportunities and to offer a platform where the producer’s potential is recognised.
Anamaria Antoci started working in film production in 2012. In 2014, she produced her first feature – Adrian Sitaru’s Illegitimate, which premiered at the Forum in Berlin this year. She has just completed Sitaru’s latest feature The Fixer, and is now working on producing her first documentary.
Anamaria Antoci will take part in the program alongside producers from countries such as Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Finaldn, France, Germany, Gaorgia, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
Other Romanians who have joined the program in recent years are Anca Puiu (2013), Monica Lazurean-Gorgan (2012), Ada Solomon (2011), and Dan Burlac (2010).
