Romanian publishers and writers go to Frankfurt International Book Fair

Romania will have a book stand at the Frankfurt International Book Fair which takes place between October 6 and 10 in Germany. The Romanian stand at the fair is organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony.

Several book releases and reading sessions by writers Nora Iuga, Horia Gârbea, Karin Gundisch, Joachim Gremm and Adriana Cârcu will take place at Romania's stand.

Several Romanian publishing houses will attend the event. This year’s guests invited by the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony are writers Gabriel Chifu, Dan Lungu and Varujan Vosganian, who will hold public speeches and read excerpts from their books in both Romanian and German.

The Frankfurt International Book Fai” is the main meeting board of the international publishing houses, editors, libraries, literary agents, movie producers and writers. Argentina is this year’s edition guest of honor.

The Fair brings various programs for both editors and complementary industries each year, with 1,000 exhibitors from throughout more than 100 countries. The Frankfurt International Book Fair is centered on digital books this year.
