Romanian publishing house organizes book exchange in Bucharest
The Night of Open Books, a campaign supporting reading, will take place for the fifth year in Bucharest, on April 23.
As part of the event, readers coming to the Coltea Park of the capital with an old book can receive a new one published at Litera publishing house, the organizer of the campaign. The event takes place from 20:00 to 24:00.
The old books collected during the event will be donated to five school libraries in underprivileged areas of the country.
After the book exchange, readers are invited for a star gazing session at the Bucharest Astronomy Observer. Entrance is free for those participating in the exchange. At the same time, a raffle will be organized as part of the event.
The International Book Day is celebrated on April 23, the date Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare died in 1616.
