Romanian director Radu Mihaileanu presides jury at Mons International Love Film Festival
Romanian director and screenwriter Radu Mihaileanu will be the president of the international jury at the International Love Film Festival in Mons, Belgium. The festival will take place from February 10 to February 17.
The invitation made to Radu Mihaileanu to preside the festival’s jury represents the continuation of a period of great visibility for the Romanian director in Belgium, after the launching of his movie L'Histoire de l'Amour in 2016, according to a statement from the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in Brussels.
Also at the Film Festival in Mons, Romanian actor Teodor Lucian Rus will present the Scarred Hearts/Inimi Cicatrizate movie directed by Radu Jude, co-director Stefania Matei will be a member of the young jury, and director of photography Horea Laptes will be a member of the International Confederation of Art Cinemas and Experimentation (CICAE).
Moreover, two Romanian films will be screened in the Worldwide Cinema section, namely Cristi Puiu’s Sieranevada (on February 11-12), and Radu Jude’s Scarred Hearts (February 12-13). Romania will also be present in the short film competition.
