Romanian telecom and cable company RCS & RDS, the largest cable TV provider in Romania have inked an agreement with telecom firm Vodafone, which allows RCS & RDS mobile telephony users to have a broader coverage area.

The recent agreement for national roaming would also allow RCS & RDS's Digi Mobil clients to easily switch from one mobile network to the other.

RCS & RDS is expected to give more details about this partnership in a press conference today, Friday, April 11. The agreement would be valid for several years, during which RCS & RDS would work on expanding its own network coverage. In exchange, Vodafone would probably get several benefits from RCS & RDS, such as frequencies won via bid from the National Communication Authority ANCOM. The information was however not yet officially confirmed, writes Hotnews.ro.
