Romanian telecom company RCS&RDS has sold its satellite television operations in the Czech Republic to Lama Group.

The Czech Competition Council approved the transaction, reports local Capital.ro.

In 2006, RCS&RDS entered the Czech market offering satellite TV service Digi TV.

Lama Energy Group, founded by businessman Petr Lamich, is a supplier and producer of natural gas and electricity, but also offers mobile services.

RCS&RDS already sold its operations in Croatia, Slovakia and Serbia and is still active in Hungary, Spain and Italy.

Its priorities are the Romanian and Hungarian markets, where it can still grow.
