Romanian recruitment website Tjobs.ro gets EUR 0.5 mln financing from group of investors
French businessman Alexis Bonte, who has previously invested in videosharing website Trilulilu and in online strategy game eRepublik, has recently invested in the recruitment website Tjobs.ro. Bonte, along with Fundatia Post Privatizare and Andreas Cser, an angel investor based in London, have provided EUR 0.5 million for the development of the recruitment website.
The site runs job offers for Romanians abroad. Last year, it published around 130,000 jobs and it plans to increase the number of published jobs to 160,000 for 2011, according to Calin Stefanescu, the company's CEO, quoted by Ziarul Financiar.
Tjobs.ro was founded in 2009 by Calin Stefanescu and Sebastian Niezgoda. The business model relies on subscriptions for recruitment agencies, on fees for promoting CVs and on fees from international companies looking to hire Romanians. The company hopes it will post a turnover of EUR 1.2 million in 2012.
