Romanian repair service provider Depanero wants expansion abroad, plans training school

28 April 2015

Depanero, the largest service specializing in electronics equipment in Romania, wants to open subsidiaries abroad. It targets several countries in the region, namely Bulgaria, Hungary and Poland.

Depanero plans to invest some EUR 500,000 this year. The money will go towards developing the software platform and the expansion plans, reports local Wall-street.ro.

It also plans to expand its current headquarter by 500 sqm, to a total of 3,500 sqm.

The management also considers opening a training school for young people in Romania, as it is very difficult to find specialists in the technical area. The lower number of specialists is a consequence of the fact that are fewer vocational schools in Romania and more and more young people choose faculties with theoretical profiles.

“The plan is to put it into operation this fall, but this depends on many factors. We haven’t decided yet what type of unit this will be, if it will be an internal project or a separate location," said Adrian Antohi, general manager Depanero.

The company could spend up to RON 400,000 (EUR 90,000) on this school.

Depanero is a repair service provider founded by Romanian online retailer eMag. It has some 300 employees.

This year, the company plans to reach a turnover of some EUR 8 million.
